After seven sailed races, very, very tight scores at the front of the 2022 F18 Worlds fleet before last racing day, when Argentinian pair Cruz Gonzalez Smith – Mariano Heuser ([11], 4, 1, 3, 1 , 4, 8) are leading by one single point ahead US team Ravi Parent – Severin Gramm (6, 1, 2, 5, 3, [7], 5), and five points ahead Aussies Gavin Colby – Kai Colman (10, 2, 4, 1, 6, 3, [21]), four continents being represented within the top four teams.

One thing is now clear: no double discard expected, as it is impossible for five races to be sailed on last racing day, and this is bad news for those scored DNF on Race 7, when the wind died before storm and heavy rain to fall on Clearwater Beach.

Not to say the battle will be hard on Sunday…
