North American Championship statistics do confirm Class health and actual Arms Race control

Following successful North American Championship sailed in Burlington, Lake Ontario, Canada, IF18CA Vice President Steve Stroebel produced detailed statistics, making a parallel to 2023 Worlds held last July in Travemünde, Germany (see below).

The main conclusion to be drawn is that the F18 class actually matches with its basic principles: to offer popular, exciting, safe, and fair racing in 18-foot catamarans, keeping development under control and maintaining a good balance between cost and performance, being open to any manufacturer.

On top of this, both surveys do assess there is no need to use brand new equipment to compete at the highest level. This is probably our greatest value.
