F18 Europeans finals in Arco: Rookie vs Old Foxes

Martin Vanzulli warned us: “This youngster is gifted!”… and actually he is! (Don’t forget he is reigning A Class World Champion…). After 7 qualification races being completed, Ravi Parent & crew Severin Grimm (USA) are leading the fleet, with 13 points, 4 points ahead very consistent Belgian pair Patrick Demesmaeker & Gilles Tas, and 7 points ahead legendary Mitch Booth, crewed by his son Jordi.

Closely following, a tight group of three teams within 2 points: Brett Burvill & Max Puttmann (AUS), 21 points, Cedric Bader & Nicolaj Bjornholt (FRA), 22 points, and Cruz Gonzalez Smith & Mariano Heuser (ARG), 23 points.

As usual, and this being clearly a fair signal about the strength of the F18 Class, one can count four different designs (Nacra Evo, Goodall Akurra, Exploder Scorpion, & Windrush Edge) within the top four leading teams…

Suffice to say that party is far to be done, and that everything can change among the leading teams.

Finals in Gold & Silver fleets are just about to start, and we will keep you posted.
