It is with great sadness that we report the death of our friend Don Findlay, who suddenly passed away the day before Christmas.
Don has been fully involved in promoting F18 sailing for almost 21 years, at both National and International level, and his carreer with the two biggest manufacturers before getting retired gave him a precious knowledge of the sport catamaran world, he put at the full service of the Class.
He held the position of Secretary General of the International Formula 18 Class Association from July 2005 to July 2009, and from July 2013 to January 2018, and the Class will remain forever indebted to him for his dedication and care.
His commitment was only matched by his kindness, and we will all keep excellent memories of him.
For his last journey, let’s wish him fair winds and following seas…
