Zhik F18 US Nationals day 1 – Only 8 boats able to finish

Photo Charlotte Harbour race 1 2015
The Formula 18 U.S. Nationals 2015 started with a blast! Only 8 boats out of 28 entries made it to the finish. Windguts up to 29 knots remind us to some races at the F18 Worlds in Germany last summer. Sarah Newberry & atthew Whitehead are leading the pack, Johan Casey & Colin Page are in 2nd position followed by Olivier Pilon & Maxime Loiselle as 3rd. Michael Easton and Tripp Burd couldn’t make a fist on the first day when their rig dropped while sending it out to the race course. Robbie Daniel & Keenan Madewell have some serious damage after a collision with Guy Selsmeyer and had to do nightly repairs. Hopefully conditions will be a bit better today.

No information has been received yet because the sailors are still asleep. But.., we collected some YouTube & Facebook videos for you.

Tough day on the Ronstan Sailing Rocket! Dropped the rig while sending it out to the race course for day one of the US F18 Nationals. Replacement stick is on the way, so our regatta restarts tomorrow!
