Cedric Bader & Nicolaj Bjornholt at the top of an European podium in Kiel

Cedric Bader – Nicolaj Bjornholt Christensen @kielerwochesailing

Clear victory for Cédric Bader & crew Nicolaj Bjornholt Christensen at 2020 Kieler Woche, usually scheduled in June, but postponed this year to september due to Covid pandemic.

Once more, French champion left poor, if no chances to his opponents, by winning 9 out 12 sailed races in Schilksee, where F18 fleet was pretty close to fill in all available slots, with 24 entries on a possible maximum of 25.

To notice two mixed teams, Robert Schütz-Rea Kühl (GER) & Raisanen father and daughter (FIN), finished 2nd & 3rd, when the fleet gathered a bunch of Germans, two Danes, and one Swedish team. One more proof, when needed, F18 is truly and successfully accessible to both gender sailors.

The battle has been pretty tense among top 10 teams, and consistency in racing prevailed, as, despite two bullets, two second and two third places, Finn Heeg & Bjorn Wendel finish fourth overall due to a DNS score in race 6. Same, German F18 Chair Dirk Bleiker & crew Kilian Feindt, gaining a good series of two second, four third and one fourth, unfortunately got DNF, DNS and RET, being then ranked 6th at the end.
