Too much wind on last day
The Italian Formula 18 Championship, organized by the Alto Lario Sailing Association, ended today in Gravedona, on the waters of Lake Como. The final day did not allow further racing to take place: the wind, too strong to allow a regular and safe racing field, forced the Race Committee to wait a long time in the hope of improvement. Around 3pm the final decision arrived: regattas cancelled.
A perfect venue
The Championship therefore ends with the six races already held in the previous days, which offered ideal conditions for the Formula 18 catamarans. A positive overall balance for the event, which provided hard-fought races and a great show, once again confirming Lake Como as the perfect stage for sailing!

Tight results
The 2025 title goes to the Fiorini-Casamenti crew, second step of the podium to the Viganò brothers and Stella-Recalcati closing the podium. In fourth place Sanzone-Ruggeri and in fifth place Mazzucchi-Lisignoli (complete ranking here).

Good attendance boosted by Nordic teams
It is to notice 12 of the 35 registered teams came from Northern countries (NED, GER, DEN, FIN), confirming attractivity of Como Lake waters.
