End of the Spanish Catamaran Cup at RCNV
The Spanish Catamaran Cup held from 23 to 25 May has been organized by the Real Club Nautico de Valencia, by delegation of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, in collaboration with the Sailing Federation of Valencia and the National Secretariat of the Catamaran Class (ADECAT).
Three intense racing days in Valencia.
On Day One, the wind was pretty strong, increasing over 24 knots, and generating a rough sea together with big waves, that hindered the third race, when Day Two and Day Three have been sailed with a variable 9 to 15 knot wind.
Very tight results in the F18 Class
During the three regatta days, the top three leading crews had the option to climb to the top of the podium with minimal score differences.
At the end, the champion plate goes to Oriol Nuet and Alex Bargallo (Club Maritim, 14 points), Lucas & Maximo Gonzalez-Smith, 16 points, finishing second, just ahead Fabian Migoya & Alberto Torne-Munoz, 17 points.
