Second day of competition at the Eurocat 2025. The 110 crews started at 10:00 am for a great race day. The sun shines but the wind is more capricious.
After one race sailed in 10 to 12 knots, the wind decided to play with the nerves of both competitors and Tace Officers… The wind swung twice and it took 40 minutes to end the fourth validated race…
In these complicated conditions, the morale of the sailors has not faltered and all kept their objective in sight.

On Saturday 3 May, 120 crews will start the mythical Grand Raid de l’Eurocat. Given the conditions, the route will allow everyone to bypass the island of Houat. Departure scheduled at 10:30 for a return in the early afternoon for the first to cross the finish line.

Victorien Erussard:

“It’s a mixed day for us, we discover the boat we received a few days ago. There are still a lot of adjustments and optimization. In addition we are a heavy crew compared to our competitors, which puts us at a disadvantage in this kind of conditions.
I participated a lot in the Eurocat but it had been ten years since I had come. As class president, I am very happy with the number of F18 this year and hope for more in the years to come. The Eurocat, I am from a generation that was bathed in the great years when there were more than 400 boats and it remains great memories. I am very attached to it and it remains a benchmark test.”
