Costarmoricaine F18 Raid Worlds: super fast leg One

For a fistful of seconds…

Very tight results at the end of leg One, when the fleet rallied Erquy to Bréhat Island at an infernal pace.

The top six boats took less than 3 hours to cross the Bay of Saint-Brieuc after a long tacking duel by a high medium wind. Suffice it to say that the gaps are small between the competitors.

“This first stage was super fast but very tactical”, summarizes Olivier Bovyn President of the Club de la Voile d’Erquy, organizer -with the support of local communities- of the event which is this year’s thirtieth edition. Edition which takes on a particular importance since it is support event for the Raid World Championship.

Although French pair Dary-Fanouillère took a five minutes advantage, the race towards the world champion title remains fully open.
