One more Champagne sailing Day

New names at the top
By discarding their (relatively) bad result in Race 1, Matt Homan & Kris Bilston (Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron) now score a nice series of 2-1-1-4-2 on their Scorpion, and take the provisional lead with 10 points, closely followed by Australian legends Bundock-Ashby, and previous leaders Burvill Putman.
Nacra Boys Colby-Colman are slightly behind with 23 points, when three teams are staggered from 33 to 38 points.

Systematic measurement controls
It is a clear will from the Class to proceed to systematic measurement controls in order to ensure the reliability of the new system, permitting self-certification by builders.
On Day 2, Technical Committee proceeded to two different controls, one before the races, to check Gennaker halyard height, by designation, the second on a random basis, to check 75% SF/SMG ratio on gennakers, according to finishing positions in Races 4, 5 & 6..
