We are glad to announce the Hungarian Formula 18 Association was founded by the community of the Hungarian Formula 18 sailors on 7 December 2007. On the first meeting the members accepted the constitution of the association and selected the board members : Csaba Litkey, Tamás Petheő, András Székely and Sándor Róka, Chairman.

The new board initiated the registration of the class by the Hungarian Sailing Association, and is now aware to look for a measurer to be accepted by the IF18CA.

MEASUREMENT ISSUES :

In House Certification

In order to promote Formula 18 in new countries and to both facilitate the owners task and to certify the control of each delivered boat, an In House Certification process is getting studied in the F18 class, under ISAF regulations.

This should provide, subject a procedure to be established between manufacturers, appointed measurers and National Authorities, a good solution to deliver certified boats and sails everywhere, and to maintain fair sailing.

Any manufacturer (boats or sails) interested by such a procedure is kindly asked to contact the World Council at : postmaster@F18-International.org
